Step 3. How to start recording with the CaptureCast Chrome extension app

1.     Open up the app by clicking on the Cattura icon on the top right hand corner of your Chrome Browser

2.     You will need to enable at least 1 device to start a recording session. You have 3 devices options to choose from (Microphone, Camera and Screen):

·      Click on the drop down menu for Microphones to see what devices are available for use. In this example we will select the ‘HD Pro Webcam C920’ device.


 

·      Click on the drop down menu for Webcam to see what devices are available for use.  In this example we will select the ‘HD Pro Webcam C920’ device.

 

 ·      Click on the drop down menu for Screen Share. Select ‘Desktop’ from the list.



·      A pop up box will display the available screens or windows to choose from. In this example we will select the window ‘Cattura Video’ and then click on the ‘Share’ button.

NOTE: On Chromebooks, you will need to adjust your screen resolution to 1024x576 or 1536x864 for the app to capture your screen. The default resolution of 1366x768 on most Chromebooks will not work properly. For more information visit our guide: How to adjust window or screen resolution on Chromebook



3.     Optionally you can enable ‘Show Preview Window’. In this example we will have it enabled.

4.     Now that you have at least 1 device selected you are now ready to click on the ‘Record’ button. The Show Preview Window will now display your live recording session.
